Chain House Modbury

Welcome to Chain House

Step back in time in Piers and Lou's gorgeous Grade II* listed home which, dating from the 17th and 18th centuries, is one of the most historically important buildings in Modbury.

The house has been extensively restored, to make it comfortable and easy to live in, but retaining all its original character, features and architectural integrity.

Dating from Tudor times, the back of the house overlooks a beautiful walled garden and a self contained three-bedroomed wing is entirely private, with its own entrance, kitchen/diner and spacious drawing room.

It's perfect for small family gatherings, or groups of friends wanting to relax and explore this lovely area.

Worswell Barton Farmhouse Noss Mayo
Worswell Barton is a secluded hidden gem in the South Hams, on the peninsula of the river Yealm and it's a unique and picturesque site on  a working National Trust Farm in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Picture postcard villages, with their waterside Ship Inn and the Swan Inn, in Noss Mayo, and the Dolphin in Newton Ferrers are either a short drive but also walkable from the South Devon Coastal Footpath which surrounds the farm, with amazing views towards Plymouth, Bigbury and beyond.

Accommodation in the Farmhouse is 5 to 8 rooms available for Bed and breakfast, which are ideal for Walking groups and Wedding Parties but, sorry, no Hen or Stag parties. Higher Shippen is a 3 bedroom Self-Catering Cottage which cottage sleeps 2-8.
